IT Intern Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience in IT support, network administration, and hardware management. This is on on-site only position.
Key Responsibilitiesâ User Support: Provide technical support to internal users for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
â Active Directory Management: Assist in the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts, groups, and permissions within Active Directory (AD).
â Windows Operating System: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot issues related to Windows 10/11 operating systems.
â Hardware Management: Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of various hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
â Inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets.
â Documentation: Create and update technical documentation for IT procedures and common support issues.
Qualificationsâ Familiarity with Windows OS: Basic knowledge of installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows environments.
â Active Directory Basics: Understanding of user and group management in Active Directory.
â Hardware Proficiency: Experience or strong understanding of installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware.
â Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
â Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
â Initiative: Ability to work without supervision and take initiative to complete IT project task lists.
Preferred (But Not Required) Skillsâ Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, Spiceworks).
â Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
â Experience with creating/modifying Group Policies in Active Directory (AD).
